The Blackburn Arena renovation is a highly-anticipated major infrastructure project in Innes Ward. The City of Ottawa has made a significant investment in this key piece of infrastructure in the east by providing $4 million for its completion. The result of this major investment is a fully inclusive and functional space for all, following the addition of two alternate needs rooms, four new dressing rooms, a community multi-purpose space for events, and an expanded front lobby. This fully accessible expansion is the product of much community consultation and a partnership with the federal government, which has generously provided $1 million toward the $5 million needed to complete these much-needed upgrades.
