The storm that came through Ottawa on May 21st, took a toll on much of our City; damaging homes, schools and public infrastructure. Sadly, one of our local parks here in Innes Ward – Cathedral Park, sustained severe damage to the play structure. Staff have since removed the damaged section, and have installed a temporary repair until a replacement part can be installed.
As this replacement portion will be new, there are options available for what can go back in, and City staff are seeking our input on the preferred replacement.
Below you will find the three possible options. Residents can just let me know which they prefer by sending me an email at Laura.Dudas@Ottawa.ca. As staff need to move quickly to order the piece, I need to let them know which is the preferred option soon, and would need to hear from residents by June 20, 2022.
Once the community picks the winner, it will take about 20 weeks for the part to be ordered and shipped, and will be installed as soon as it comes in.
