Government of Ontario – March 31, 2020

The Government of Ontario has notified the City of Ottawa that construction at the Innes Road/Highway 417 Overpass will resume as of April 2020.
According to the notice we have received from the Ministry of Transportation, construction on Innes Road bridge is scheduled to start April 15, 2020 and is expected to be completed by November 29, 2020. For at least part of this work, the speed limit on Innes Rd will be reduced to 60km/h.
The following lane reductions and traffic mitigation plans will be in place:
- April 15, 2020:
- Innes Road westbound on the overpass will be reduced to one lane 3.5 metres wide.
- The two eastbound lanes will remain open, with the centerline lane width reduced to 3.25 metres and the shoulder lane will at 3.5 metres in width.
- July 27, 2020:
- Innes Rd overpass westbound will be reduced to one lane 3.5 metres wide.
- The eastbound lane will be reduced to one lane 3.5 metres wide
Additionally, Ottawa has been notified that intermittent lane closures will occur throughout the 2020 construction season on Highway 417 at Innes Road.
