Dear Friends,
It’s back to school, back to work, back to routine time. I hope everyone had a restful, wonderful summer break and that you are recharged for the upcoming season. I know I am!
The City has been busy over the summer with infrastructure projects in our Ward, and will be ramping up even more investments in our community in the coming weeks. While no one enjoys construction, much of this work has been eagerly awaited and will improve our major and local roads, sidewalks, pathways, and parks. I am particularly pleased to see the work that has occurred on key pathway links to our local schools, through North Vineyard Park, off Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, and a section of the path connecting three schools through Bearbrook Park, directly off Bearbrook Road.
I’m also excited to share that work on several parks and play structures is continuing or will be kicking off in the coming weeks: it’s going to be a busy season for our Ward!
All year long, but especially during the summer, I go door to door, talking to residents to ensure I am continuing to reflect your needs and addressing your questions and concerns. I want to take a moment to thank everyone I’ve had the chance to connect with this summer; I have enjoyed our conversations immensely. I will continue to visit you at your door, regardless of the time of year, but know if I missed you, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at Laura.Dudas@ottawa.ca if you need me for anything. I am always here to help.
