I am pleased to announce that the City of Ottawa will begin construction of the Blackburn Park Splash Pad the week of May 17, 2021. Construction of this brand-new splashpad will take place over several weeks, with the completion of the project later this summer. This new park feature’s design was chosen by the community, and you can check out an artistic rendering below. This new park feature will be located south of the parking loop and west of the Blackburn Community Hall, as shown in the aerial diagram.
I want to thank the Blackburn Community Association once again for their partnership on this project. It will be a very welcome upgrade to our community. Between this newly-constructed splash pad and the expanded Arena, Blackburn Park will soon be taking its place once again as a thriving community hub.
