Twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall, I host my Seniors’ Tea Speaker Series, a warm and welcoming event designed to bring seniors together for an afternoon of engaging conversation, informative presentations, and community connection.

I typically host each session in a different location around the community, featuring a fresh topic and a guest speaker who brings valuable insights to the table. Whether we’re exploring subjects like local history, health and wellness, city services, or community safety, the goal remains the same: to offer meaningful and relevant information in a relaxed, social setting where seniors can connect, learn, and engage.

Some past topics have included:

  • Navigating Later Life Transitions

  • Preventing Fraud Against Seniors

  • Navigating Canada’s Pension System and Income Security

The format is simple and enjoyable: guests arrive, settle in with a cup of tea or coffee, and enjoy a presentation followed by a chance to ask questions, share thoughts, and connect with neighbours. It’s a wonderful way to stay informed, meet new people, and enjoy a thoughtful afternoon out.

I’m proud to offer this series as part of my ongoing commitment to supporting seniors in our community. Whether you’re a regular attendee or thinking of joining us for the first time, you’re always welcome.

Details for each upcoming session, including location, time, and speaker, are shared on my social media and through my newsletter. I hope you’ll join me for the next Seniors’ Tea Speaker Series and be part of this growing tradition of learning, laughter, and connection.
