Canada Day is always a highlight of the year for me. I am deeply proud to be Canadian and to be raising my family in a country that proudly promotes freedom, safety, diversity, and equality. There is no country quite like Canada and that’s something worth celebrating!
As we approach Canada Day, I wanted to share many of the ways our community is celebrating being Canadian. Let’s start with the fireworks!!
This year, I’m especially looking forward to celebrating right here in Ottawa’s east end with my fellow Councillor colleagues. Together, we’re hosting an evening that brings the celebration closer to home, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, great music, and a strong sense of community without having to travel downtown.

Fireworks begin at 9:15 pm (come early to grab a good viewing spot!)
DJ Animal will be on site playing music throughout the evening before the fireworks begin.
